Man charged with 17 counts of criminal damage after window smashing spree
A 35-year-old man is due in court this morning, charged with 17 counts of criminal damage after leaving a trail of destruction across Ipswich town centre and costing local businesses thousands.

The details: Police were called to the town centre shortly before 12:40am on Thursday 1 May, following reports that a man carrying a skateboard was smashing shop windows.
Officers quickly attended and located the suspect at Majors Corner where he was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
What's happening now: Thomas Jeffery, of Horseman Court in Martlesham Heath, has subsequently been charged with 17 counts of criminal damage.
Jeffery has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court this morning, Friday 2 May.
