Man arrested after six-hour Ipswich rooftop standoff

- The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, possession of Class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon and recall to prison.
- He was initially taken to hospital as a precaution before being transferred to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he currently remains.
The bigger picture: The rooftop incident was connected to earlier drug arrests in the Cardinal Park area at around 11:00 the same morning.
- An 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, possession of a knife or bladed article and possession of Class A drugs.
- A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and possession of Class A drugs.
What's next: Both the woman and boy were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning before being bailed to return to police on 12 December. The 20-year-old man remains in custody.
