Ipswich man charged with attempted murder after Pinewood stabbing
A 23-year-old man from Hawthorn Drive in Ipswich has been charged with attempted murder following a burglary in which a woman was stabbed in her Pinewood home.

What happened: On Saturday, 7 December, officers were called to Admiral Road at 16:55:
- A woman discovered an intruder in her home
- The victim was stabbed after confronting him
- The suspect fled towards Ellenbrook Park
- Police later recovered a knife near the scene

- The victim, in her 40s, was treated in hospital
- She was discharged later that night
- Police arrested Mallett on Sunday, 8 December
- He was questioned at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre
