The ALL4MND team, who have already raised £250,000 for MND charities since 2023, say they knew they had to ride again after hearing of his diagnosis. **The details:** The ALL4MND challenge was set up in January 2023 by a group of Ipswich riders for a 40th birthday fundraiser. This year's route runs: - **Tuesday 22 September:** Southampton FC to Bath Rugby Club - **Wednesday 23 September:** Bath Rugby Club to Gloucester Rugby Club, via Wales - **Thursday 24 September:** Gloucester Rugby Club to Windsor Castle - **Friday 25 September:** Windsor to Cambridge University Rugby Club - **Saturday 26 September:** Cambridge to Ipswich Rugby Club Riders are fundraising for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which funds MND research, and Stand with the Horsfalls, a trust set up to support Ryan and his family. Ryan Horsfall was diagnosed in late 2025\. A 39-year-old self-employed plumber with a beautiful young family. He has even threatened to jump on a bike with us," the team added. Explaining the decision to ride again, the team said: "The reality is the fight to find a cure for MND is still raging and we want to jump back and throw a few more punches." They said they had been inspired by the "recent courageous efforts" of former rugby players Kevin Sinfield and Rob Wainwright, who have both undertaken high-profile fundraising challenges for MND causes. **For context:** This is the third ALL4MND challenge since the team formed. In 2023, 30 riders cycled from Ipswich Rugby Club to Melrose Rugby Club in Scotland, raising money for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, the 4ED Foundation and the Suffolk MND Association. In 2024, a team of 20 women completed 24 peaks in 24 hours in the Lake District, also raising funds for the Doddie Foundation. MND is a rare, progressive condition that damages the nervous system, causing muscles to weaken and waste over time. It has no current cure, though treatments and support can help manage symptoms. **What's next:** Riders are due back at Ipswich Rugby Club at 14:00 on Saturday, 26 September, where a family fun day organised by the Horsfall Trust will be under way from 13:00, with stalls, an outdoor bar, food vendors and live music from DJ Ludzy. Ipswich 1st XV will play Holt Rugby Club at 15:00. **The bottom line:** Three years after a 40th birthday bike ride raised £163,000 for MND charities, the ALL4MND team are back on their bikes – this time to support a young Suffolk family living with the disease.
