**Why it matters:** Future Pathways is designed to support young women as they navigate “the challenges and opportunities of moving into adulthood”, with workshops running throughout 2026 and 2027, including school holidays and half terms.

**The details:** The programme is a new strand of Girls Where You At? (GWYA?), part of Future Female Society, a community interest company that wants to help women and girls “to achieve great things”.

- All workshops are completely free to attend.
- Sessions will be delivered by trauma-informed practitioners, youth workers and female role models.
- Although the programme is open to the full 16-25 age range, organisers believe the programme will be “particularly beneficial” for those aged 16-18 as they approach important transitions in their lives, education and future careers.

**What it covers:** The workshops will focus on four key areas:

- **Mental health and wellbeing:** managing anxiety and stress, building emotional resilience, exploring identity and developing healthy relationships.
- **Independence and life skills:** housing awareness, budgeting, money confidence and preparing for independent living.
- **Employability and creative careers:** CVs, interviews, workplace confidence, and creative experiences in podcasting, radio, film and media.
- **Education and future opportunities:** exploring college, university, training and alternative pathways, alongside goal-setting and progression support.

**What they’re saying:** Suzanne Chung, GWYA? facilitator at Future Female Society, said: “We’re excited to introduce Future Pathways.”

Chung said: “Future Pathways offers a welcoming, supportive space where young women and girls can build confidence, develop practical skills, explore their interests, and feel more positive about their futures.”

**What’s next:** The first session is a creative wellbeing workshop at CHIp Studios, 16 Turret Lane, IP4 1DL, from 12:00 to 14:00 on Saturday, 14 November.

It will help participants explore emotions, build confidence, manage stress and nurture healthy relationships through creativity.

**The bottom line:** Young women in Ipswich approaching the move into adulthood can access free, practical support on everything from wellbeing to budgeting and careers, starting with a creative wellbeing workshop on Saturday, 14 November.
