Why it matters: The unexpected death of the 19-year-old has left her family facing significant funeral expenses, with relatives appealing for community support during what must be an unimaginably difficult time.

The details: Jade was found by a member of the public in the park at 05:50 on Wednesday, 27 August. The family faces a wait of up to four months for test results to determine the cause of death, though police have found no evidence of third-party involvement.

Zadie Walker has organised the GoFundMe appeal on behalf of Jade's family, describing her younger cousin as someone who was "loved and cherished very much."

The appeal has raised more than £2,600 towards its £4,200 target at the time of publication.

What they're saying: "Jade was taken far too soon and will miss out on all the many adventures, opportunities and the love she had to give and receive," Walker wrote in the appeal. "Jade's death has left many hearts broken and lives feeling empty, and will never be the same again."

She described Jade as "a loving, caring, creative daughter" who was the eldest of seven children, "who all absolutely adored her."

The bigger picture: Walker explained that the sudden nature of Jade's death has made the financial burden particularly challenging for the family. "As we all know, funerals are not cheap, and as this is such a tragic, sudden death at such a young age, it's completely unexpected," she wrote.

She said that Jade's parents are worried she "will not be able to have the send-off she deserves."

The bottom line: Those wishing to support the family can contribute to the GoFundMe appeal, helping ensure Jade receives the farewell her family believes she deserves, whilst easing their financial burden during this difficult time.
