Stand Up 4 Food Banks

Event details

Description

A night of laughter for a serious cause

Glass Eye Comedy and The Dove Street Inn are bringing their popular Stand Up 4 Foodbanks event to Trinity Park, transforming their regular comedy night into a charitable endeavour to support local food banks.

How you can help

The organisers have kept the event accessible with a nominal £3 entry fee, but there's a special request for attendees - bring a bag for life filled with:

  • Non-perishable food items to help stock local food bank shelves

  • Sanitary products that will be distributed to those in need

Why it matters

The timing couldn't be more crucial. Recent figures show that food bank usage has reached concerning levels, with 2.17 million people across the UK needing their support in 2021/22.

All donations from the evening will be distributed to local food banks, ensuring that the community's generosity directly helps Ipswich residents in need.

The night promises to deliver both entertainment and the opportunity to make a real difference in our community, proving that sometimes the best medicine really is laughter – especially when it's paired with practical support for those who need it most.
