# Body recovered from River Deben at Waldringfield

**The details:** The Coastguard contacted police at 07:45 yesterday morning (Sunday, 17 August) and brought the body ashore at Waldringfield at 08:45\. Ambulance Service crew officially confirmed the death.

The man is described as white, around 35 years of age, with fair hair and a beard. He was wearing black shorts when found in the river.

**What's next:** The body has been taken to the mortuary at Ipswich Hospital. The cause of death remains unknown but police say it is not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
