West End Road Burger King set to become first 24-hour branch in Ipswich

Ipswich Borough Council has granted a 24-hour licence to the West End Road Burger King, making it the first in town that can serve food and drink around the clock.

The big picture: The restaurant has secured both a 24-hour premises licence and a late-night refreshment licence:

  • The new licence allows food service from 23:00 to 05:00, Monday to Sunday

  • Service is permitted both inside and outside the premises

The chain's other local restaurants at Anglia Retail Park, Copdock Interchange and Ransomes Way all close at 22:00.

Bottom line: Though the West End Road branch now has permission to operate 24 hours, it has not yet announced when or if it will extend its current 10:00-22:00 opening hours.
