Police hunting suspect after Kesgrave cycle path stabbing

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a morning assault left a man with stab wounds on a popular Kesgrave cycle route.

Why it matters: The male suspect fled the scene and remains at large, though police believe this was an isolated incident between individuals known to each other.

The details: Police were called at 9:25am today, Thursday, 1 May to reports of an incident involving two men on a cycle path near to Mead Drive.

The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained stab injuries and has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

What's next: Officers will be providing reassurance through high-visibility foot patrols over the weekend.
