Police appeal for information after Henley Road car break-in

Police are investigating two vehicle-related incidents in Ipswich, including a break-in on Henley Road where money was stolen after a window was smashed.

The details: A vehicle parked on Henley Road was broken into between 23:30 on Sunday, 18 January and 06:45 on Monday, 19 January. An unknown person smashed the driver's window and stole money from inside.

In a separate incident, an unknown person was observed trying vehicle door handles on Pitcairn Road in the early hours of Sunday, 18 January at 04:07-04:09. No entry was gained and nothing was stolen.

What they're saying: Suffolk police continue to remind residents to remove their belongings from vehicles and ensure they are locked.

What's next: Anyone with information about these incidents, or who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area during these times, should contact Suffolk police quoting crime references 37/3501/26 for the Henley Road incident or 37/3336/26 for the Pitcairn Road incident.

Contact options include providing information online at suffolk.police.uk, calling 101, or contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
