Prepare for the day ahead with everything you need to know this morning, including today's weather forecast, traffic notices and a roundup of yesterday's news in case you missed it.

The weather

An overcast day with temperatures hovering between 2-4°C, though it will feel more like 1-3°C due to the steady southwesterly winds.

Today's forecast:

  • Consistently overcast conditions throughout the day

  • Very low chance of precipitation (<5%) until evening, rising slightly to 10-20% after 18:00

  • Light to moderate winds from the SW/WSW, with gusts between 10-14 mph

  • Good visibility for most of the day, becoming moderate by evening

  • The sun sets at 16:22

Make sure you:

  • Wrap up warm – temperatures will feel close to freezing

  • Consider layers rather than one thick coat for better temperature control

  • Check your car's antifreeze levels if leaving vehicles outside overnight

Worth noting we've got slightly milder temperatures coming later in the week, but for now, it's definitely a day to keep warm!
