Why it matters: Since its official launch in 2016, the Ipswich-based Community Interest Company has delivered 41 grassroots projects, working with people from 25 countries to provide safe, inclusive spaces where women and girls can access support, build skills, and overcome challenges including isolation, low confidence, abuse, and limited opportunities.
The details: The milestone was marked with a celebration evening on Tuesday, 24 February at King Street Cinema, bringing together partners, supporters, and collaborators from across the county. Guests shared stories of impact and were invited to pledge their continued support ahead of International Women's Day on Sunday, 8 March.

She added: "Demand for our services is growing, and with the backing of our community, we can strengthen and expand our programmes to reach the women and girls that need us most."
The bigger picture: Future Female Society runs three core programmes – Girls, Where You At?, Woman 2 Woman Radio, and More Than Mum – offering weekly sessions that help build skills, confidence, and community connections across Suffolk, complemented by wellbeing workshops and community outreach events throughout the year.
One attendee, Hayley from Ipswich, who took part in the More Than Mum programme, said: "When I joined More Than Mum, I had lost all hope for the future. Now, after participating in the programme, I feel like I've been given a golden ticket. I finally have the confidence and tools to move forward and make the changes I've always wanted in my life, and I am determined to make the most of this opportunity."
What's next: Future Female Society is hosting an event at The Hold on Fore Street, Ipswich, from 10:00-15:00 on Saturday, 7 March 2026, ahead of International Women's Day. The day will feature speakers, interactive workshops, stalls, live performances, and a free lunch for all attendees.
