Charity quiz night returns to support deaf children in Ipswich

A popular quiz night is set to return this October, raising funds for children living with deafness. Local hearing care company All About Hearing is organising the event in aid of the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS).

The big picture: All About Hearing, a family-run business with two hearing care clinics in Ipswich, is hosting a charity quiz night on Sunday, October 13, at Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre.

Why it matters: The quiz night aims to raise funds for the NDCS, a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting deaf children and young people. The NDCS provides advice, information, and emotional support to families with the goal of creating a world without barriers for deaf children.

Key details:

  • The event starts at 7:00pm

  • Teams can include between 4 and 6 members

  • Entry costs £6 per person

  • The previous quiz night in April raised over £1,200 for charities

What they're saying: Karen Finch, Director for All About Hearing, said: "Our charity quiz night back in April was a sell out and raised over £1,200 for some very worth charities. I'd love us to go one better to see if we can beat the total from April."

She added: "Gather your team, whether it's your family, friends or work buddies and join us for a night of fun and make a difference!"

What to expect: The event will feature a bar, a big screen, and prizes donated by local businesses.

How to participate: Tickets are expected to sell out quickly. For booking details, visit www.allabouthearing.co.uk/quiz

The bottom line: This charity quiz night offers Ipswich residents a chance to enjoy a fun evening while supporting a worthy cause that helps deaf children and their families. Get involved!
