Armed police called to reported knife fight in Ipswich town centre
Armed police units have been deployed to Ipswich town centre following reports of a knife fight involving a group of young men, with traffic stopped on Upper Brook Street as officers search for those involved.
At least two armed response units were seen in the area. Witnesses reported that knives were involved and that one male had been detained by police. There were no witness reports of serious injury.
A large police presence remains throughout the town. Suffolk Constabulary has been approached for comment.
